It's a Wrap!
MarcoCo. just put the finishing touches on Academy Award™ winning director Amanda Micheli's feature-length documentary DOUBLE DARE. The film takes a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of two Hollywood stuntwomen, Jeannie Epper and Zoe Bell who get thrown off tall buildings, hit by cars and engulfed in flames for a living. It features interviews with Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, Lucy Lawless and Lynda Carter.
Marco d'Ambrosio wrote the score, which can best be described as an eclectic collage of post-punk, techno, and rock-a billy. Terri d'Ambrosio provided Music Supervision. Andrea Gard of Skywalker Sound was Supervising Sound Editor. Gary Rizzo mixed the show.

Marco d'Ambrosio recently completed the score to the dark comedy SEACAPE from director Marc Webb (of music videography note-Green Day, Counting Crows). The short has been circulating at film festivals including Cinéquest and the Aspen Comedy Festival.

Marco was also tapped by Tory Belleci (ILM) to compose the title sequence of his film POKER which will be hitting the film festival circuit later this year. Mike Axinn of Skywalker Sound was Supervising Sound Editor.

Just Released... We are thrilled to announce the U.S. release of the anime series JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE from A.P.P.P. and Super Techno Arts. The first of six volumes hit the shelves (DVD) June 10 with subsequent volumes to release bimonthly. Based on the popular Japanese comic book series of the same title, each of the episodes is packed with super alter egos, super natural activities and super bizarre adventures. Marco wrote the "Italian-rock-horror" score. Sound design by Tom Myers of Skywalker Sound. The English language version was recorded (David Cuetter), edited (Al Nelson) and mixed at MarcoCo. Studios with Terri d'Ambrosio as Audio Post Supervisor and Elaine Clark, Voice One, casting and directing the talent.

Now Playing in Century and CinéArts Theatres...the music of Marco d'Ambrosio. MarcoCo. Studios recently signed a licensing deal with this ever-expanding state of the art movie theatre chain. So, while munching on popcorn before your show you can kick back and enjoy some tunes. ~~~~~
Work-In-Progress...
Marco is currently working on the score to David Moreton's feature, TESTOSTERONE, an intricately woven story of love and obsession set in Argentina. The cast includes Antonio Sabato Jr. (The Big Hit, The Perfect Getaway), Sonia Braga (Angel Eyes, Kiss of the Spider Woman) and Jennifer Coolidge (A Mighty Wind, Zoolander, Best in Show). Mike Axinn of Skywalker Sound is Supervising Sound Editor.

Another Kornbluth /MarcoCo. collaboration...You can catch Josh Kornbluth live in all his glory in his new monologue LOVE AND TAXES. It's about two topics, over which most people are quite passionate and confused ÉLove and well, yes, Taxes. Marco d'Ambrosio's music will be highlighting the emotion on stage. David Dower (Josh's collaborator) is directing the show. It opens at the Magic Theatre in San Francisco June 27 and runs through July 13.
